Hey all,
So I just got back from playing an amazing show in Denver, CO for Alice 105.9. This was an event that will go down as one of my all time favorite acoustic shows because I was in such great company. I was fortunate to be a part of such a great bill that included Jason Mraz, Gavin Degraw, and Landon Pigg. Alice was one of the first radio stations to play ‘Best Days’ and Sam Hill (their fearless leader) is by far one of my favorite people I have met along the way! She is all about the music and really cares about the artists. The set was intimate and the crowd was amazing. It felt like old times performing with those guys and we talked about doing some shows together in the future.
I am both thrilled and honored to say that I will be opening for the legendary, John Mellencamp. This is a show I am really looking forward to and can’t wait to play the Enormo-Dome in my hometown of Oklahoma City. Actually, it’s called the Ford center but it will be my biggest hometown audience ever! I’m going to bring in some of the guys from LA and we may line up some full band shows in surrounding cities. I can’t stop thinking as I type how lucky/fortunate/blessed I am to get to have all these incredible experiences. I was lying in bed last night and heard ‘Best Days’ used for an ABC promo for the TV show ‘Brothers and Sisters!’ It was again another example at how amazing it is to do what I do…and call it a job!
I am really looking forward to getting back to what got this whole thing started, playing live for you guys! I know I have been promising tour dates and they will soon be posted, it’s just that there are so many ideas I have about who to pair up with and trying to make everything work in between. I assure you that it will be a fun summer and I promise to play extra long sets (when I have the opportunity to) and maybe even play ‘Free Bird’ for that guy who always requests it!
Talk soon,
GC

Hey All,
I hope this note finds all of you well. Just returned back home after heading out to LA to perform on Ellen. No matter how many times I have been able to do this now, its still exciting every time and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity. I managed to get some backstage video of the entire experience and we will cut something together for you shortly. It was nice to come full circle as well and perform the song with every musician that played on the actual studio recording.
The next day we headed over to Buzznet to film a performance and interview that you can check out on the site and then it was back out to the East coast where I was asked to perform a few songs at Shea Stadium prior to the Mets/Nationals game for MLB.com. Crazy to think that in the past few weeks I’ve been able to share the same legendary stages as The Beatles at the Ed Sullivan Theater for Letterman and now Shea Stadium...the “only” difference was that I didn’t fly in on a helicopter (we’ll have to save all the screaming girls for next time). What an honor to grace the same field before this legendary stadium is leveled next year. Stay tuned for the performance footage and interviews next week. Did I mention how awesome the entire crew was? We were treated like royalty..many thanks to our man Ken Krasner for putting everything together!
Among the shows that I played last week, was a benefit for Sudan...this is a cause I am honored to be a part of and hope everyone will sign the petition on the website. Go to www.sudancan.com and learn how you can help what’s going on over there. I will be playing another one in Raleigh, NC next weekend.
Lastly, just wanted to let you know that I was interviewed by Leeza Gibbons for her ‘Hollywood Confidential’ radio show and it will be airing this weekend. She was really sweet and I continue to be humbled by all of these opportunities. Can’t wait to get back on the road again, playing full sets and all of this new material for you guys.
More to come as always.
Best,
Graham
